"I just got back from a stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, and honestly, it was such a great trip. The resort is beautiful — it’s right on a black sand beach, which was really cool and made the whole place feel unique. Our room was super spacious and comfortable, and the pool area was perfect: big, clean, and a great place to relax. But what really made the experience stand out was the staff. They were incredible across the board. Our butler, Henry, was awesome. He was super friendly and helpful, always checking in and making sure everything ran smoothly. He handled all our dinner reservations and just made things really easy, which let us actually relax and enjoy the trip. At the Star Class pool, we were lucky to have Yearly taking care of us. He was amazing — always one step ahead, bringing us towels, moving umbrellas when the sun shifted, even covering up my kids when it started to rain. You could tell he genuinely cared, and that made a big difference. We also had Samuel as our waiter at one of the cabanas, and he was fantastic too. Always around when we needed something, super attentive, and just really good at what he does. Everyone we met at the resort was friendly, welcoming, and professional. You can tell they care about creating a great experience for guests. Overall, I loved my time at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. The setting is gorgeous, the rooms and amenities are great, but the staff is what really made the trip "

"Simply a beautiful hotel with an amazing swimming pool, swim up bar & a million dollar view with each hotel room facing the ocean. The all you can eat breakfast buffett was superb. Unlimmited drinking water availiable by the elevator. Javiro at the hospitality excursion desk was absolutely fabulous; such a kind & genuine human being! He even gave me his phone number in case of an emergency! He arranged an excursion for me including a coffee/sugar cane tour, horseback ride, 8 zip lines, waterside down the mountain, mud bath, hot springs & waterfall with an AMAZING buffett Lunch at the top of the mountain. They also provided transportation to and from the hotel and was about 11 hours of fun! Javiro's son Sebastian took me on the excursion & he was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and I felt very safe & protected. He even stopped at a gift shop with samples of coffee & chocolate & Walmart for us & was so patient & kind to us. $190 US for the entire day. There is a shuttle leaving the hotel every hour to take us to Tamarindo, 1 stop in the town and 1 stop at the beach resort. My shuttle driver Randal was THE BEST!!!! He was so kind & hospitable, & we had great conversations on all the trips. Staying at the Wyndham was an effortless experience as the staff were very friendly and provide you with everything you will need. Muchas Gracias for an experience of a lifetime. "I stayed at an all-inclusive resort that delivered an exceptional vacation experience, marked by top-tier service and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with a smile and attending promptly to any requests. The food was another highlight — a diverse selection of freshly prepared meals at the buffet, with options ranging from local specialties to international cuisine. Chef Jiminez is truly talented and came out to greet its guests. The resort’s location couldn’t have been better — just steps away from the ocean, offering stunning views and easy access to the beach. Mornings were perfect for peaceful strolls along the shore, while afternoons were packed with fun (kayaks/swimming/jetski rental). Activities for all ages included board games, billiard, ping pong, obstacle course on the tree, 2 huge swings, bonfire. This resort is great for families, couples, elderly and solo travelers. One area where the resort could use some improvement is its infrastructure. While everything was clean and well-maintained, some buildings and common areas felt a bit dated and in need of renovation. A few minor repairs and upgrades to facilities like the pool deck and gym would elevate the overall experience significantly. Will definitely come back!"
