"The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck! "

The staff were friendly and welcoming, our room was beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast was lovely although the portions were on the small side (that could just be me being greedy though) 😂 We would definitely stay at this hotel again. "

"Plus points: Good location for Cliveden, etc, very comfortable bed and modern room. pleasant traditional pub atmosphere in small bar area. Restaurant a little pricey for the place; meal ok, but cheeseboard not so good. Sea bass (small fillet but good) -price same as a leading Italian restaurant in Bloomsbury, where we got a whole sea bass. Minus points: Breakfast not good at all, poor choice of cereals, no fruit at all, cheap orange juice. Full English ok (just) but pricey for what we got....

"Good value for money if you want a no-frills stay. The beds are quite comfy, there's a small TV and tea/coffee in the room. The shared bathroom is okay. It's a little way out of High Wycombe area but there isn't much else available at this price"
