"We booked a 2 bedroom standard apartment for 9 nights with a family of 4. We were extremely impressed by the tidiness and size of the pool, grounds and location. The standard 2 bedroom apartment serviced our needs and requirements during our stay and it was much larger than we expected which was pleasing. "This hotel suited our needs. It was clean, in a good location, had plenty of useful amenities, had a great pool and friendly staff. However, if you are looking for flash....this is not the place. It is very tired and probably needs an upgrade. If you are looking for a safe, basic place to stay with a BBQ area and pool then this place is okey. We would probably stay again if ever we are back in Cairns. "

"My wife and l and our 2 teenage boys stayed in the ground floor penthouse near the main pool. Our stay was a welcoming one right from from the beginning at check in. The room was spacious and clean had had all the facilities you would expect in an apartment. Room service daily was an unexpected bonus. We would definitely stay here again as it was the perfect location to all the dining and activities that we needed during our stay."

The shower is over the bath which isn’t ideal and the lighting in the bathroom is pretty ordinary however all in all we would stay again and would recommend to others. "

"Great place - I would definitely stay here again, right in the heart of Palm Cove. Only downside was heater in pool was not working the second week of my stay, though I know they were trying to get it fixed - I'm sure it's good by now. Beautiful grounds, loved the balconey, the "library", laundry. Even provided a rack for drying clothes and an umbrella in my unit. Great place!"

"The woman working the front desk was SO friendly! There was a small shop in the reception area for guests to purchase snacks and goods. Our room was very clean and the air conditioning worked great! The coffee and tea station in the room was very nice as well. The only thing I have to say is that there are some glass slits at the front of the room for guests to open and close like windows. "The unit was a studio and nice size, very clean. We enjoyed using the grill for dinner too. The owners were helpful, friendly and helped with our transportation needs. John even drove us to the Reef Terminal one morning. It's a bit over a mile to the main part of the Esplanade and harbor. We did walk it several times. Otherwise it was about $9 US each way for a taxi."

"The owners thought of special things like salt and pepper available, all kitchen items, clothes horse as not everyone wants to use the dryer. Easy walking to shops. Maybe have a map in unit for those late check ins as the map we got from reception after 3 days there was great. Maybe leave a note to warn rentals about leaving food/honey/sugar out, as ants around."
