No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable."

My only issues were that to access my room i had to use an outdoor fire escape and walk across roof - this was safe and easy to do but not ideal with luggage, nor was it welcoming. "The Bushel is a friendly well run pub right in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds. It has the advantage of Car Parking for guests. Breakfast and Dinner were both good value and tasty. The staff are helpful and efficient. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms. This had all we needed including a good size bed, shower, tea and coffee, Tv etc. We would certainly stay here again when we are next in the area."

"The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. "The lodging here was so beautiful, small style cabins that are modern with a great view and a small garden out back. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The restaurant next to the lodging was amazing, staff were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back."

"Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend "
