Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Key West at The Keys Collection
10/10 Excellent
"The stay was very nice. It is located right when you come onto Key West Key. They also offer you a free shuttle to downtown which saves a lot of money. It drops off and picks you up every hour on the hour and half hour . From 9:00- Am to last pick up back to hotel is 10:30pm !!!!
The breakfast buffet is pretty good( scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs as well as bacon and turkey sausage. Bagels, toast and English muffins. Waffles too along with oatmeal and yogurt .
The only thing that was annoying was that it advertises the pool bar to be open until 8:00pm but the bartender told us it’s 7:00pm. So one drink was all we were able to get. Just check things out at front desk."
"The hotel is very nice and the pool area is beautiful. The hotel is located across from a nice, wide bike and walking path that is parallel to the ocean. It’s also walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants and the airport. We used uber or lyft several times and every time, the driver was there in less than 5 minutes. Super convenient Almost can’t beat it, but it is very pricey.
They do provide full size complimentary water bottles daily to each guest and free shuttle service to Duval St that runs every 45min. For the high price though, I felt that the breakfast buffet could have been way better. It was just ok. And we also had to pay to park which I didn’t appreciate after spending $500 + per room per night. We had two rooms and only one rental vehicle. If the parking lot isn't included for the guests, who’s it for? That just didn’t impress me. But overall, nice place."
"My daughter and I stayed at Beachside for one week. We enjoyed the free shuttle that departed the top of the hour into town and the ease of two pickup spots in town to return to the resort. Every half hour would have been perfect. The on site restaurant was excellent. And the beach is nice. We took advantage of two excursions that met at the dock behind the hotel. Our sugnature king room was clean but furniture was not new. Nice bedding. Generally a nice place."
"When I booked the room I asked for handicap, my 79 yo mother has knee issues and cannot walk a lot and has difficulty getting in the shower. I was denied when I checked in because they said there were no rooms available. I paid for a breakfast option to be told it did not include omelets and that was 20$ more. The bathroom was not clean and had a urine order I asked the manager to have someone deep clean the bathroom again when we were out, not only did she NOT clean the room but she stepped on the bath mat and left her foot print! The tub shower curtain and wall had hair. I reported it with my pictures and the manager gave me one day service charge off. Not the best experience"
"Can’t say enough good things about the staff location and amenities. All around best place to stay one night or a whole week. From kayaking to relaxing in the hammocks , to cozying up in your cottage, to the nice little breakfast, all things considered best place. Convenient to good places to eat within walking distance. Loved out stay here. Will definitely be back "
"The staff were incredibly accommodating and so informative. The gentleman that checked us in went above and beyond to help us have the most pleasant experience.
One suggestion would be to offer a few more healthy options at your pool bars. What we had was wonderful. The bartenders and waitstaff was amazing. "
"Clean room, but very low water pressure due to the lack of rain on the island staff was amazing especially Shelley the pool bartender…so knowledgeable and personable, the breakfast was good and the pool bar offers some good quick bites too "
"We stayed at Parrot Key Hotel & Villas during spring break (March 22–26), and overall, my family had a really nice time. My kids absolutely loved it, and the food was a highlight, everything we tried was delicious and definitely added to the experience.
That said, there were a few issues that impacted our stay.
Our room was noticeably worse for wear and felt a bit run-down, especially compared to my parents’ room, which made the difference in upkeep more apparent. The floors, in particular, were quite dirty and didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned. I requested a room change the day after we arrived and was initially told we would be moved to a similar room. Later, we were told it would be ready after cleaning, but by the afternoon, we were informed that no rooms were actually available. Housekeeping did come by, but the main issue, the floors, remained unresolved.
On our final day, valet misplaced our car key, and we had to wait over an hour while it was located. The staff was apologetic, but it was a stressful situation, especially not knowing whether the key had been lost.
I also reached out directly to the hotel after our stay to share this feedback but unfortunately never received a response, which was disappointing.
Overall, we did make wonderful family memories and enjoyed many aspects of the property, but I do think there’s room for improvement in room maintenance, communication, and follow-up with guests."
