"Rooms are on the small side so if you are traveling with a lot of luggage, consolidate the things you need into a carryon size so you don’t have to open large suitcases. Nice enough boutique hotel with the sweetest staff. Breakfast buffet was on the small side but it did the job."

"Great hotel in a super location! Staff are kind, friendly, attentive and supportive. I stayed at this hotel twice during my 19-day trip to Vietnam and felt very safe there as a solo, middle-aged female traveller. The rooms are perfectly adequate, particularly as they are so inexpensive. Breakfast is healthy, hygienic and tasty. I would not hesitate to stay there again"

"Amazing on all levels! Location is perfect for home base to explore the city and area and everything you want to see is within walking distance. Stylish and very comfortable rooms. Staff are so friendly and helpful with anything you need. We stayed for a couple of nights and then went to Ha Long Bay Area and when we came back we had our same room which was so great! Spotless property and good breakfast especially the items you ask for like the eggs and soup. Definitely have the hotel arrange transportation for you regardless of where you are arriving from or going to for a seamless and worry free experience as the international arrivals terminal is nuts!! We can’t recommend this hotel any higher! It was a highlight of our trip! Thank you for everything."

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi

"The Metropole is quite simply old world chic! The staff are amazing, everything is amazing. Be prepared to pay for dining and drinks but the quality of the food and service is well worth the treat. The room we had was in the heritage building and I think they called it a luxury suite. Quite small but the bed was super comfy and the size of the room was adequate."

Solaria d'Oriente Hotel

"We stayed at this hotel unexpectedly and were pleasantly surprised. Checking in was lovely and staff took extra time to give us information about Hanoi and local sights/customs. We had booked a room with a window but it was impossible to see outside due to frosted glass and was too high even if it was not frosted. Breakfast was amazing! There was a combo of à la carte and buffet items included. Coffee was a European style machine so no nasty drip hotel coffee. The hotel is ideally located and it is easy to get around using Grab. The only real issue was the shower. The glass didn’t cover enough so we were always needing to clean up the water from overspray. Also the drain was slow. They arranged a driver for us to get to the airport. Apart from the window (or lack of a functioning one) and shower, this hotel offers great value for money and the staff are fantastic!"
