Amazing location, with parking closeby. Staff were very friendly and offered advise tailored to our interest and visit. Room was clean and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel, just pop over the bridge to Coimbra.

This was such a pleasant place to spend our one night in Coimbra. Super walkable to explore the town from. Street parking was a breeze and free. The host who checked us in was so warm and welcoming and gave helpful information on the area. Definitely felt like we got a great value for the price of this stay.

We were impressed by the restoration of the building such that important updates such as noise cancelling thermal windows and other features were done and that the hostess was very helpful friendly and full of information to make our stay so good. Very clean as well.

Everything about the guest house was great, except for the mattress. It was a bit uncomfortable, but okay for a two night stay. Directions for arriving, dropping off luggage and parking were made clear once we had arrived, but prior notice via email would have been helpful. Good restaurants just across the street. We would stay here again.

Great guest house in Coimbra

Santa Clara Guest House is perfect for a visit to Coimbra. Great location, clean and well equipped rooms. Sofia on reception was friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of information and some good recommendations for breakfast and dinner. There is a free underground car park 5 minutes from the guest house. Highly recommended

Great place and location

Great place to stay, just across a bridge from (and view upon) the Old Town of Coimbra, hence much quieter (with double-paned windows). Renovated yet with charm. Comfy beds. Good sized bedroom, functional bathroom. Great welcome as well as help (where to park, eat, shop...) Free coffee, but no breakfast at property; available at several places across the street as well as just at the entrance of the old town.

Comfy bed. Neat, tidy and clean. Fresh fruit available. Bright and spacious. A little tricky to find the first time, but this is more to do with the way google maps depicts the area (and how tired I was when trying to read the map 😉) than the directions received. Very responsive host. Would stay again!

We travelled all over Portugal and this was easily our favourite accommodation of the trip. Sofia was so friendly and welcoming and let us check in early which was so helpful. The room was so nice and comfortable and the view was amazing.

A casa de hóspedes é antiga e fica perto da ponte que atravessa o rio Mondego. Os quartos são de bom tamanho e confortáveis. O check in foi feito por telefone e com códigos de acesso. A Sofia foi muito solícita e orientou-me como localizar a hospedaria.
