"The room was pretty good but the temperature was too warm (we had the controls set to as cool as possible but still 20C plus at night). Other than that the stay was good….staff was excellent "

"It's a good location at the edge of the old town of Coimbra, near the university and with quick access around the corner from the hotel to the train station Coimbra B via the free green bus (the only bus that is green)."

"Very charming boutique hotel occupying the space of an old pharmacy, thus the name. The lobby still has many of the old compounds in their original glass jars lightly back lit giving the room a warm glow. Very welcoming. The room was very nice. Large bed with a comfortable spring mattress. Importantly the shower was great—strong water pressure and warm water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suggested some excellent restaurants and we can confirm they know their local area."
