"We had a lovely overnight stay on a Sunday evening. The staff were nice and we were given a free upgrade to a Privilege room which was very big and quiet. After a morning swim, I enjoyed a tasty breakfast from the buffet. The only negatives were that the plug in the bathroom didn't work and the decor was a bit tired. However, this is to be expected with older buildings to some degree. There are also beautiful rooms in the old manor such as the library and lots of places to sit in the main...

"The room was a little dated, lovely corner bath but the jets weren’t working on it, no shower in the room which would have been handy. Lovely 4 poster bed, but the mattress was way too soft. Restaurant was lovely and the quality of the food was great. We used the spa and the gym the following day, the spa was very modern, great facilities and very clean."

Only downside was the windows don't open and the Air Con was broken (we were given the room despite a note being behind reception telling staff not to allocate that room out due to broken AC)... "We booked an accessible room as my husband has a disability. Even though the room was very nice, it would have been nice to have the usual disabled facilities in the bathroom such as grab bars, raised toilet seat and a wetroom level floor shower. It also didn't have an emeegrncy cord. You had to request a shower mat but it would have been more beneficial to have a slip free shower tray and more grab bars in the shower. Unfortunately my husband was not able to have a shower as he was too nervous....
