"This is well kept property. It is just as it was described. The rooms were cozy and warm. The living room was a good size with a small fire place which is done up well. There were a few enjoyable board games.The kitchen had everything you needed including a microwave. There was tea coffee and sugar. The bathroom was great it had shampoo, conditioner,body wash and hand wash. Toilet flush button was a bit stiff and the toilet door creaked which is minor. There were some footsteps noise from upstairs which didn't bother us at all. It would have been good to have access through the living room doors looking into the greens,so one could see the sheep and play outside. When you arrive the post code stops a few houses away, just follow the direction that is given before you check-in an that will bring you straight to cottage. Thank you very much for giving us a good stay which was peaceful and away from our busy city lifes. We enjoyed it as a family. Will definitely stay again. "

"We had a wonderful 2 nights stay. The rooms were clean and roomy. Staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely and will accommodate anyone’s needs. We asked about local walks and staff were very helpful and gave us maps I would definitely stay again. "

"The room was generally clean, but the en-suite had quite a bit of mould across the ceiling and the shower felt cramped, despite the large cubicle, due to the shower itself being squashed into the corner of the cubicle.The furniture is somewhat 'distressed' , but the bed was very comfortable and the duvet was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast on our first morning was very good, however, on the second morning the fried egg yolks were hard, but the whites were runny and oily. Plenty of Tea bags and Coffee were supplied in the room, but only 4 small milk pots, which were not replenished. The Chestnuts is ideally located in the beautiful town of Bourton-on-the water, with plenty of pubs/restaurants. Parking can be a bit of a chore due to the small number of private spaces available to the B&B. You can park on the street for a maximum of 90 mins, although after 6 pm, you can park overnight free. We had a great short break and will definitely return to the Cotswolds, although probably not to this B&B."
