Steep, but short walk from the start of the gondola to Lyttelton along the Bridle path.
A view of Lyttelton Bay from the top of the gondola. We went on an extremely windy day (as you can see from the sideways plants). Apparently the water is that beautiful blue because the sediment from the rocks constantly stirs up and reflects the color of the sky.

Location was fine for proximity to the airport. Room was very small & smelt like feet, shower was dirty. No staff at reception, you do everything yourself when you check in. I don’t mind a basic room & wasn’t expecting anything special but overall I wouldn’t rate this place very highly at all.
