Hotels near Christchurch Gondola

"Ideal location in the centre of Christchurch. Modern hotel. Nice room. Great view across city from upper floors. Parking rather expensive but paid options close by. Hotel offered a valet parking service at $40. If you arrive early in the days it’s worth it, but of arriving near 4pm then cheaper to use local car parks. Breakfast not included, costs extra $38 each. We found a nice cafe just over the road. "

"The room was good, but the reception wasn't. I arrived at 2 o'clock, the check-in time, and was informed by the receptionist that my room wasn't ready. I had never arrived at a good hotel and was told my room wasn't ready. And I don't usually book a $ 500-a-night hotel! I paid about half that price for the previous hotel, and it was very good. Very disappointed with The Muse!! Although I must say the room was very good. Lovely views!! I also acknowledged the next two receptionists, who, when I told them what had happened, did their best to make up for the first experience. "
