"Fantastic cosy room. Lovely shower , comfy bed. The check in is via phone and a key safe .
The room was well stocked and very clean. Main problem is the doors to rooms don’t have quiet closing so when the ignorant other guests go in and out there is constant slamming of doors.
We stayed in the room with exposed beams and it was very well thought out . Good for walking holiday due to location."

"Rooms and location with free parking was great for the area—much more reasonable than other places we looked at. Comfortable beds, and while the breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about, it was pleasant and filling. Nice to have that covered on our first day of the trip. This place isn’t anything fancy, but it was fine. Easy bus ride into city centre. Would recommend if looking for a good, basic option."

"Great location for peace and quiet and walking into and around abingdon.
Rooms basic but nice, mattresses could be more comfortable but were acceptable and the breakfast great and plentiful.
My second and definitely not last visit."

"The ground floor room was comfortable and adequate for our two night stay. There was some traffic noise from the busy main road, but it wasn’t too much of an issue. The hotel is situated close to the bus stop where there are frequent buses into the city centre."

"Staff was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Clean room with tea and kettle. Wonderful stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Very convenient to bus line going to and from Oxford City Center."

"I enjoy a hotel that makes you feel like the location… not some generic place that looks the same in every location. The Porterhouse was great in that regard, made me feel like I was in Oxford. Clean and comfy room and great location. Staff was great and helpful in every way! Breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay again!"

"When we entered our room it smelled damp and was unbearably hot, with little air despite the windows being open and a desk fan on full blast. There was an air conditioning unit in the room but it was broken. We were told we had to prebook aircon. We were given another room after complaining which was in a cooler wing and were supplied an additional fan. This room also had an air conditioning unit but it was not working. We managed to sleep okay with open windows and additional fans but were not overly impressed regarding the explanation over aircon availability. Unlikely to book again."
"Located in the heart of Windsor, the Christoper Wren has old world charm and the staff is extremely attentive and helpful. I arrived early, stored my luggage and went off to explore the town. When I returned to check in my bags had already been sent to my room. Nice touch. As it is an old hotel there are stairs to the rooms so I greatly appreciately the help with my bags.
The staff at the front desk was extremely attentive and hospitable. The room was spacious, clean and charming. Enjoyed a glass of wine on the outdoor patio overlooking the river.
Overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommend and I would absolutely stay again next time I am in Windsor"
"We had a lovely quiet bedroom at the end of a corridor. The only thing we could hear were sheep! Comfortable bed, powerful shower and clean room. Didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that. Pleasant atmosphere, good location and friendly staff. Would stay again when in this area."
"Great staff and service. Clean room with the basic facilities. Would have been exceptional had they provided a refrigerator and coffee machine.
Nothing fancy , great value for money."
"Stayed in a Woodland Village lodge. Staff were all so helpful and the breakfast served in the restaurant was more than ample.
Lodge was clean and cleaners called every day. Boys loved cracking the code and finding lanyards and Lego in the safe.
Would highly recommend a stay at Legoland Woodland Lodges"
"Fantastic hotel! Staff very welcoming and nothing was too much bother.
We had an issue with our bathroom which needed maintenance so we had to switch rooms but staff dealt with it efficiently and couldn’t be any more apologetic. A bonus as the new room had air conditioning 😉
Would definitely go back!"
