Hotels near Chicago Board of Trade Building

"Beautiful on the surface. Terrible smell of heavy perfume in the rooms. What on earth happened here to require such a strong smell to cover it up? All the hotel provided soaps and lotions are heavy scented dollar store brands. Pack your own. No maid service until late in the day, after 3:30pm. We had to vacate room for housekeeping after just getting back. Luxury looking property, but skimping on details. Clearly there’s not enough staff to cover the required rooms. Every member of staff was exceptional, they were just clearly overwhelmed. "

"The Staff was fantastic! The bellhops and valet personnel are second to none! Great experience with their interactions. Rooms were excellent! Clean, decorated nice and the bed was very comfortable! We will be returning for our next visit!"

"Great hotel on the river close to everything! We had a river view room. All the photos showed a larger window an our room had one about half that size. It was fine, but I would suggest to ask about the larger window seat if you are booking a room with a river view. Staff was excellent and helpful. The fresh espresso/cappuccino maker in the lobby was a very nice touch. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Stay was horrendous rooms was dirty and sheets had what seems to be blood stains by. When my room was changed because of the sheets. The next room had wholes in the wall and the baseboards were packed with dirt. I informed the manager and was told because. I used a third party ie…… hotels .com it was nothing they could do. Which I feel is so wrong to hotel.com because of that hotel.com gets a bad reputation. When it’s the hotel itself "

"I can only review the staff at The River Hotel is AMAZING to say the least. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I received a warm welcome and a fabulous room with all of the amenities. My room (suite) was spacious, clean and so comfortable. The hotel is centrally located so it makes getting around effortless. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chicago and The River Hotel is my go to spot to stay."
