"We were booked into Room 206 and the hot water from the bath 'scalded ' my right foot. This occurred on morning of 16 August 2026. There was no sign warning of this and I had to run cold water over the area on top of my foot for several minutes. I am 77 years old and fortunately quite able to quickly remove myself from the bath. However should any guests suffer the same way and NOT as able as myself the consequences could be quite devastating. I alerted the reception on our exit. Please consider signage before there is a serious incident."

"This used to mecure property and has recently been taken over don’t expect Mecure standards Breakfast was ok very slow on refilling hot choice so much so I gave up waiting for eggs and mushrooms. Food was barely warm such a shame as the breakfast used to be the highlight. Rooms are comfy with tea and coffee facilities parking hit and miss do you research? We found a car park about five minutes walk away £5.60 for 24 hours. One thing that this hotel has is an excellent location so yes we would use it again but not booking breakfast we go out."

"Brilliant stay, booked an extra night because we liked the hotel so much. Would definitely stay again for the price. Not bad at all for a ibis budget, the breakfast wasn’t bad and reasonable price for a few cooked items that you help yourself to and some fruits, toast, etc, wasn’t bad at all really. The hotel was in a convenient location 30 mins drive to Peak District, super cheap and decent rooms, great bathroom with a powerful shower. Staff fairly friendly, approachable and I really enjoyed my stay here."

"room was excellent, staff were helpful breakfast was decent and paid parking nearby the only downside when arriving by car is the bus gates. their is no warning of them until its too late and there is no detour after you see the sign"
