"More pros than cons!! Let's start with the cons because there's fewer.
Cons: bathroom is dated and carpet feels very old. The pull out couch is very used, however having said this, if was a nice surprise that if was a pull out couch. We booked a two queen bed studio and it came with it. Very spacious indeed.
Pros: convenient to Old Port and St. Denis and Chinatown (lots of dining options!!) St Catherine's is also full of festivities and all walking distance!
Many bus stops nearby within the next corner! This made it very convenient for airport traveling (bus 747) Metro within two blocks.
Kitchen is very usable, but could have used a container for the plastic bags of milk (if you are staying long term, more kitchen equipment could be used). But I made do with all the cups and such. Need to be creative.
Laundry is free!! You do need to buy your own soap. They sell it for $2 for one tide in their pantry room or you can go to the dollar store to get some in the mall three blocks away ($4.5-$6).
Apparently there was also free coffee in the pantry room. We didn't know this until check out day when we asked a guest how much it was.
Overall, great choice of stay if you aren't driving and don't mind taking public transit or using your own legs to go around town. There's pay parking but not sure how much. "
"Lovely, clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel in an excellent location to access the Old Port area and the metro. Service was also swift and friendly. "
"We stayed here during our first visit to Montreal. Everything about this facility was very good. We had a room with a kitchenette and that made things very easy. The desk gave us directions to the grocery store and it was about a 20 minute walk easily walkable to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go, including the metro. Parking our car at the hotel was a little expensive, but we didn’t need the car again for the whole trip."
Historic architecture, modern attractions and an exciting calendar of festivals make it impossible to get bored at this lively and scenic riverfront space.
