"It is a very lovely place for couples to reconnect with beautiful views of the 7 color lagoon. Breakfast was fresh and staff was very helpful and pleasant. If we were to give a critique it would be to include face towels/wash clothes in the rooms and shower caps. "

"They need a lil more parking space , and they tried to clean my room at almost 3 pm ( I was taking a nap) I had to ask for towels and toilet paper , then they rush me for my check out, the guy at the office told me that the owner of the place get upset when ppl leave the place after check out time. Workers need more training. "

"Very bad hotel…. Every thing is falling a part…. Terrible maintenance…. Furniture old and obsolete …. I rent the room at Laguna Hotel Bacalar for 5 days…. I did not stayed there…. Only for a few minutes…. I grab my belongings and I left to rent another room some where else near by (Casa Arabe) I don’t understand how the City authorities allowed the hotel to operate under this circumstances…. I paid a lot for this hotel that is not worthed…. I don’t know how Expedia is willing to rent rooms for them….Extremely super UGLY property. Francisco Saldana"

"The staff in the restaurant were excellent. Food and presentation of the view was great. View from our lagoon front room was beautiful. Weren't impressed for only getting two free bottles of water for our entire stay. For the price of the room water should be included free for entire stay. Lack of personality in the room due to no artwork on the walls vs the picture on their site when booking. Would have been nice to have tissues and body lotion provided in the room along with coffee maker and coffee. Overall we enjoyed our stay. "

"Good scenic location and very comfy bed. Staff were not very friendly, especially the older porter who was decidedly grumpy! We thought we had paid in advance only to be told we owed the amount on arrival. We were told it was a 20 minute walk into town but it was over half an hour. The place needed a lot of tlc including tatty chairs on our balcony and broken tiles on the floor. Our shower sprayed water everywhere, flooding the bathroom. No hairdryer or fridge."

"The property is located just off the main highway, accessible via a short dirt road, offering a quiet and peaceful setting away from traffic. The lagoon area was also very nice and well maintained. The property itself was clean and well kept. The outdoor bar was a highlight, serving excellent ceviche and aguachile at very reasonable prices. "
