"Lovely studio apartment - very light but the windows were difficult & heavy to open. Very clean modern bathroom with a good shower. Very comfortable bed & excellent kitchen facilities. The crumpets & jam were particularly welcome when we arrived!"

"Nice budget-friendly hotel in the town center. Great breakfast, friendly staff, and clean rooms. The only minor downside is that it can be rather loud, as by main busy street full of pubs and nightclubs."

"The location was excellent, walking distance from town centre shops, pubs & restaurants. Hotel also had a car park and nice bar with a free pool table. Owner was very helpful with check in and explaining where everything was. It is not trying to be a luxurious hotel, but for a cheap room for the night to break up a long drive it was perfect for my needs. The only real negative I had is that the bed wasn't the comfiest but I still slept fine."

"Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Horse & Farrier. Room was excellent with great facilities , Comfy bed , iron and ironing board , hairdryer and lovely big shower. full size fridge and wine glasses and a sink complete with fairy liquid, great if wanting to eat in as there was also knives and forks in a drawer. We had a meal on the second night which was really good. The staff were amazing ,really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a bus stop directly outside and buses into the city centre are frequent and cheap(£2.40 single) Would stay again and recommend."

"Adele was friendly on arrival and sorted check in and parking permit promptly. Room itself was large and clean, reasonably quiet (room 3) in spite of having window open and being near moderately busy road. Bed fairly comfortable. In a good state of repair though decorated and furnished in a very dated style. Bathroom was very small. Shower needs a new hose, spraying most of the water at the wall. The sealant was black, unsightly and needing replaced. The toilet roll holder is not attached to the wall, presumably knocked off the wall by a previous occupant. (It is tight for space) Plenty of roll within reach though😉 The bathroom was otherwise spotless. Some minor maintenance will put it right. Cooked breakfast was generous and well cooked. Tea tasted a little fusty, from a hot jug, Coffee was "ok" Melon served was a bit under ripe, with darker juice on the platter I'm not sure if there was other fruit that wasn't replenished, as we had a lateish breakfast. There was a bowl of berry compote, natural yoghurt and some cereal and toast too. We were filled for the day."
