"Beds are very comfortable and clean! Had amazing sleep. Great property with fantastic views. The bathroom was in need of some cosmetic touches (paint peeling, slow drains) but was clean. When we were there the cable TV wasn't working due to a previous storm, hope it gets working again soon. Family of 4 and enjoyed the extra space the room had to offer."

"Just finished a 2 night stay (2 rooms per night for our family). Had a typical two queen room - zero complaints. Second room was the larger suite with bar and family room. Pros - bathroom was huge and the family room gave everyone a place to hang out at the end of the day. Cons - the king bed had clearly been repaired unsuccessfully and it was so squeaky that even moving your head left or right made noise. Imagine that all night long. Also, the furniture could use an update plus the fabric couches had a few questionable stains. The really nice shower had the tile surround broken in two places and I assume it was from a previous person dropping the hand held shower handle against the glass tiles. So, completely broken glass tiles with sharp edges exposed. Now, you’d have to purposefully try to cut yourself on it, and it was easy to avoid. Full marks for the great big parking spaces and top notch breakfast. Always clean and options refilled. Best breakfast so far on this two week road trip. Would definitely return."

"Exceeded expectations! Clean, updated room, with much appreciated extra chairs. Parking near room was easy. Convientent location with easy access to Baddeck, Cabot Trail, and nearby family. WiFi was above average for the area and adequate for staying connected and completing minor tasks. 2 entrances to room 1 from hallway and 1 from outside. Buffet breakfast was great, especially vegetarian options. Looking forward to the addition of dinner in the future. The view was incredible. The owner checked in with us personally during our stay and his family saw to our needs. They even had spot on recommendations for keeping a teenager engaged on our trip. The knowledgeable, personal touch made this a stand out stay. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Cape Breton!"

"Friendly staff. But the room can use a bit more work to keep up, especially the doors in our case. For the price, it is good and economical for short stay around Sydney, especially with an option for pool and gym, with a restaurant nearby. Fairly close to downtown, if that means anything to your trip. Also an economical choice to be part of your Cape Breton Island adventure."
