"The Reception staff was friendly, efficient and acted quickly to resolve our complaints. We were moved 2 floors up to a room with no problems. The bed was large and comfortable. The safe was easy to operate and everything worked well. The hairdryer in the bathroom was old but worked. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and different options. No coffee machine for fancy coffee but the coffee provided was excellent. There was no liquid soap or shower gel in the bathroom, only shampoo. Walking distance to Santos Dumont Park and to Vicentina Aranha Park. We used taxis to visit family members and to go to Shopping Centers. We can't evaluate the level of English of staff because we spoke to everyone in Portuguese. We would stay there again."

"The hotel is ran down and not maintained. Staff at the front desk doesn’t even greet you when you leave/arrive. Every time they help, it feels like you’re forcing them to do you a favor. On TWO different occasions, room service came in and left the door without a lock. I was lucky no one came in my room and stole everything. Breakfast was OK, but on zero days out of the 10 days I stayed, the scrambled eggs were hot. Internet SUCKS. It comes in at out for a few seconds, and it’s very slow, making it impossible to work. Would not recommend. "
