Pedregal

Cabo San Lucas

A beach with two umbrellas, a lifeguard chair, and a clear blue ocean.
A beach with clear turquoise waters, palm trees, and buildings with solar panels.
A town with a prominent white cross on a hill, surrounded by mountains.
A beach with a colorful umbrella, a sandy shore, and the ocean in the background.
A coastal landscape with cacti and rocks.

Crowning the rocky cliffs in this exclusive neighborhood are some of the most deluxe and impressive homes and museums in Cabo San Lucas.

Charming cobbled lanes meander through the hills, while a promenade lined with palm trees runs along the rear of the beaches in scenic Pedregal. Peaceful and residential, the area’s winding roads are lined by luxury homes and intriguing sights. Admire the range of modern towers and villas in this resort area.

Gaze up at the many white villas hanging over the edge of rocky bluffs framing the Pacific Ocean. Climb to the top of the cliffs to share the ocean views with affluent residents.

Close to the exclusive residences is a strip of glorious beaches. Relax on a lounge chair on the Pedegral Playa, a serene area bordered by palm trees offering plenty of welcome shade on warm days.

At the eastern edge of the district is Las Californias Museum. Study the skeletons of sea mammals and other animals for insights into the area’s natural history. Check out the tools and artifacts used by pre-Columbian people.

Walk south of the museum for a few minutes to reach the Cultural Pavilion of the Republic, a venue for concerts and theatrical performances. Watch a dance recital or attend a screening at the Baja International Film Festival in November.

Put on your hiking shoes and head west to the summit of Cerro de la Z for spectacular views of the ocean and the town. Start at the beach to reach the top in less than 1 hour.

The Pedregal district is in the southwestern corner of Cabo San Lucas, at the southern tip of Baja California Sur. It stands between the zones of Marina and Paraiso Escondido. Travel west on foot from the city center for about 30 minutes to get here.
