"Sarah & her staff do an excellent job running The George Inn at Tideswell, near Buxton. It's a great pub/hotel in one of the best villages in The Peak District.
Highly recommended 👍"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lee on reception and Ruth in the restaurant were very helpful and outstanding. The evening meal was exceptional. The four poster bed was very comfortable the shower was very good as well . We would have no reservations about staying there again."
"We stayed for 2 nights and were very impressed with the overall look of the place but we had booked a suite which the room was not as en-suite was like a broom cupboard.
Breakfasts were fantastic and coffe excellent but need to offer other meals such as dinner or afternoon teas which could be quite lucrative for them.
Wal was always there for you and offered us one of their fans as hot during our stay and this was very much appreciated by my wife and I.
Would book again no problem."
"Thought the location would be noisy, but the rooms were nicely tucked away behind the pub.
Rooms are not spacious, but are well maintained and cleaned daily.
Only issue I came across was that the shower waste needs some drain unblocker, but I'm not going to score them down for something that might never have been reported to them.
Would definately recommend for a one or two night stay.
Buxton too, is well worth a visit."
"Staff were extremely friendly, and my dinner the evening I arrived was delicious. I don't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. The setting of this place is just beautiful, I was sad to only be staying the one night. "
