No food/drink offering. Door-locks did not seem robust........warm room, clean bathroom and clean bedding........just very old-fashioned and low quality pillows etc........ the photograph of the deluxe room that I paid for did not match up with the reality. I would not stay here again.
Very comfortable cottage in the backyard. At first glance from the pavement you may get a negative impression but walking into the separate cottage you will be very happy. We found this to be a safe area as well.
Convenient location on the main street in Burntisland. Around 5-6 minute walk from the train station. The train into the Edinburgh Waverly Station, center Edinburgh, departs every 20-25, minutes and takes around 30 minutes into Edinburgh. My room was large, with a large screen TV, Hot water kettle. No mini fridge. No elevator. My room faced the backyard so it was quiet. The window opened a little to let in fresh air.

My stay was quite enjoyable. While the building exhibits some signs of age and wear, it has been maintained well. The staff was notably efficient and accommodating. Although it may not be overly luxurious, it is a solid accommodation option.
Lovely welcome when I checked - I have been several times and will certainly visit again

Comfortable stay and a 30 minute train ride to the city centre. Not a 5 star place but it’s clean and has everything you need with friendly staff and turndown service.

The host was great, the surrounding area for meals was great. It is an old building which is apparent.
Burntisland House is rather old, but well maintained. Room was clean and had a lot of space.
Railway station is just a 5 minutes walk, with a direct train to Edinburgh.

Staff were very polite room was clean and well presented The television was poor reception the WiFi was hit and miss could do with a stronger signal but overall are stay was a pleasant experience
The rooms were clean but the beds need to be replaced. I flipped and turned the mattress. Staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas and grounds are lacking in maintenance. Accommodation is expensive in Scotland so you get what you pay for. Overall good value for money but I’d rather pay more for a higher standard of hotel.
The shower was amazing! Room was basic but mostly clean. Had hand soap and bath gel. Smelled like old house and curry. Windows were filthy. Front of house was unkempt. Easy check in. Just ring the bell and they opened the door.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The general view as soon as you walked in was that it was scruffy and needed decorating although the bedroom was clean and a good size and had a nice shower. I suppose for the price it was not bad but you do get what you pay for,
Difficult to check in. No answer to the phone most of the time. Staff lovely.
Walls and doors very thin can hear talking from rooms. People coming back late and doors slamming shut.
Comfortable room. Tea and coffee provided.
Very run down building and needs some work doing.
My room was large. It had a Hot water kettle. But no mini fridge. The coffee, tea, cream and sugar were restocked daily. The large screen TV worked great. My room faced the backyard so it was quiet. No elevator. It's located on the main street in Burntisland and it's a 5-6 minute walk from the train station. The train to Edinburgh leaves around every 20-25 minutes and takes around 30 minutes to reach the Waverly Station. Which is center Edinburgh.
The hotel was generally run down and poorly maintained, with peeling paint and soft spots in the floorboards, and was clearly over priced.
I booked two rooms, both twin bed “deluxe“ rooms. One room was decent, but the other one was of poor quality and very small and narrow, with little room to move and with only a single bed that took up most of the room, and exactly the opposite of what a “deluxe” room would be. I’ve stayed in worse, but not much worse. I certainly did not book here again, and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I over paid.
