"This is place is close to local attractions. Easy access to food and shopping etc. I booked a room with a kitchen and balcony. The ceilings are not that high so if you’re claustrophobic you may have a problem. I also noticed the walls are pretty dirty soon as I walked in. Other than that i felt safe coming and going as staff was always at the front desk. Also did their regular cleaning of my room. The pillows are to worn gave me a stif neck. Also balcony faced the back end of the building not much to look at."
"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is an incredible location, easy access to/from airport (LGA) and subway (Grand Central).
Hotel is very comfortable, clean, and quiet.
Rooms are bigger than other NYC rooms.
Can’t go wrong here."
"The staff was amazing! The room service ladies on our floor (9) were amazing & super sweet! The conceirge was super nice and accommodating! Especially the man working on Thursday night. The beds were super comfy but the pillows need some work. The only down fall for me was the long line to check in and the wait for the elevators!!! The elevator situation is a mess!! I would stay there again for the location, but hope the renovations are complete.."
"Not as “busy” as other midtown areas like Times Square which can be good/bad depending on your perspective but I appreciated less crowds. Not a typical front desk setup but all staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. Hotel provided vouchers for breakfast at establishment across the street which was ok (onsite restaurant slated to open Fall ‘25). We opted for drinks/bakery options with vouchers and bought bagel sandwiches at restaurant next door which were really good. Nearby dining options were sufficient with several chains nearby (Chipotle, McD’s, Chick-Fil-A, etc.). Biggest gripe was no easy access to ice/water on each floor. Asking for canned water at reception or using a sloooow fountain in the gym area were the only options. Staff were able to provide ice from an area not accessible to guests (basement?)."
"It was a really nice stay at Lex very convenient with the location for our trip. Room is smaller than we expected but nice. The staff was great and anything we needed they took care of it "
