"I stayed in a King Deluxe room and it exceeded expectations. Spacious with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the room was both beautiful and comfortable. The historic building itself feels like a work of art, blending industrial character with modern design.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, showcasing true Louisville hospitality. What makes this hotel so unique is that it doubles as an art museum. Displays of contemporary art and sculptures are found throughout, and even the lobby bathroom is an experience with mirrored installations that play with perspective.
The amenities are exceptional. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that offers both a sauna and a steam room—perfect after a workout or simply to relax and recharge.
The on-site restaurant, Proof on Main, also deserves praise. The hotel provides drink vouchers for complimentary bourbon tastings, a thoughtful touch in bourbon country. The food was outstanding, with every meal delicious. The chicken dish especially impressed me for being moist, flavorful, and far beyond standard hotel dining.
If there’s one small note, the hotel carries a distinctive scent, likely from the historic structure, though it wasn’t unpleasant.
Overall, 21c Museum Hotel is a must-stay. Between the spacious rooms, inspiring art, excellent dining, relaxing amenities, and prime location near restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and the waterfront, it offers an unforgettable experience."
"The Galt was fantastic -- I wouldn't ever want to stay anywhere else in Louisville!
One thing: when we arrived at 11:25 pm, we were told that.all the restaurants were closed. But the next day I discovered that they have Room Service until 1:00.am! Why wouldn't they think to tell us that?"
"Experience was great. Great hotel with awesome staff. We had an issue with our payment because we were out of state and the desk attendant was so understanding and helped us figure it out."
