"Location is the peak of the motel. Other than that, same old same old motel. We got a little bit of an itch on our body at night. Bed are not really clean or sanitized."

"Very nice and accommodating staff helped me check in without any issues. Everything you need is provided to you and you have access to two rooms to ensure you have a private bathroom. There is no AC but they do offer a fan and you can open the window so as long as it’s not scorching hot you shouldn’t have any issues. I would recommend booking a room if you ever need a place to stay."

"When checking in, I asked if there was an upgrade available, they had a King room but were going to charge the difference, understandable, but I opted to stay with my queen room and rate. I had an issue with a slow draining bathroom sink. I requested if maintenance could look into it and repair, I was heading out for the day so timing was not an issue. I arrived back in my room around 3pm. As soon as I as I unlocked the door the telephone rang, it was the main desk explaining that maintenance had been in the room and tried to repair the drain, they were unable to and the front desk offered me to move rooms, which I did and they moved me to a King upgrade ( no added cost). Very impressed with the communication and the detail in how this whole situation was handled."

"We liked this hotel and enjoyed the eastern view. It was close to everything including parking which was nearby and reasonable. We did not try breakfast. We would ask that you change to a better quality of coffee in the room and provide guests with some sort of liquid cream ( coffee mate or half and half) and not the powder which tastes terrible. Marriotts used to have Starbucks in the rooms ( and bath and body works in the rooms!!☺️). Also please provide some sort of daily service for people who Like coffee instead of us having to track it down. We appreciate the desk staff telling us how often room we would be done. We also liked flavored water in lobby."

"The room was clean and well stocked. Checking in was fast and easy. We went into the lounge which is also a whiskey bar. We had a very friendly and helpful Barman who gave us a flight of Islay whiskey. He was very knowledgeable. Next was dinner in the outside portion of the dinning room. We had a nice dinner with paired wine. The salad, crab cake and calamari were very good. I also had the short ribs that were very tasty. After a long day, we had a great evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and beds were comfortable. We will be back next time we visit Nanaimo."
