Great hotel, good size rooms and really well designed, friendly helpful staff. Train station across the road. Easy walk to Gaudi houses and shops. Quiet and comfortable. Pool too cold for my taste but still a lovely spot to sit and relax.

Location chosen by our friends who live in a suburb of Barcelona. We had a suite with adjoining room for our 2 teen children. Staff was courteous and helpful with excellent personalized service. It is a very pleasant stay in Balmes hotel. The location is excellent, convenient to reach every spots as the metro and bus station are a few minutes away by walk. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Staff were exceptional and very respectful. Room was spacious, clean and awkwardly functional. It was interesting but trying too hard. Mattress was super hard and pillows leave something to be desired. Location is excellent - one block or so to the walking strip La Ramba, subway station right there, gluten free bakery and coffee shops across street.

Hotel staff was excellent. Safe location. About 25 minute walk to Gothic quarter. Pleanty of restaurants and bodegas are bad hotel. Stayed there prior to a cruise. Hotel staff had a arranged for a cab to take us to cruise terminal.

This hotel had great service. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet. The only problem was that it was stinky do to dry drain pipe, not sure if they can fix that problem but the smell was very unpleasant. Otherwise the facilities were great, the terrace pool was nice for the location and the breakfast was really good with good selection. The location is great, there were many great restaurants and attractions in walking distance and metro was very close too.
