The staff was very kind, and the location was perfect for our needs! The room was clean/serviceable, we were always able to get hot water for the shower, and the shared amenities like the free water and refrigerator were helpful. The only con was that it was pretty noisy (no partying, there were just living noises like doors closing loudly, plumbing, etc), so sleeping wasn't the easiest. However, if you're tired enough from full days of exploring Barcelona, you may be able to get around that!

The room and beds were comfortable, but we found hairs in our bathtub. The perfume from the cleaning products they use is very intense. We had to air out our room. If you are sensitive, please be aware. Otherwise location and price were fine.

High ceilings & a giant mirror made the room feel much bigger than it actually was - very nice! The fridge in the room was handy & the bathroom had a full sized deep bathtub. We didn’t know that the solarium on the roof would be an additional fee, but it turned out that we didn’t have time to utilize it anyway.

Nice location and helpful staff

Fantastic service from the receptionist – she was incredibly helpful with parking and gave us great recommendations for places to eat. The location is excellent. The rooms are small but clean and perfectly fine for an overnight stay. We had a balcony facing the street, which really added to the experience. For a reasonable price, I’d definitely stay here again – but probably for no more than 3 days.

Our stay in the Hostal was really nice, the area was excellent to know the city and the staff was polite and friendly. We just have a few suggestions like fixing the handle of the bathroom because it was about to come out and put a bath mat because the wet floor was very slippery after the shower. Beside that, I recommend to stay there. Thank you for your kindness.

the Hostal Argo is situated between Sagrada Familia and Casa Battló. It is very central in the nice Quater Eixample where one can find a lot of nice places and streets as well as cafés and supermarkets. The Hostal is simple but nicely decorated in a very clean style, all white. So if you are looking for an inexpensive, calm accomodation in Barcelona the Hostal Argo is absolutely recommended.

Beautiful space in a great location!

I had the 4th floor apartment to myself. 5 bedrooms was a bit much for just me but everything about this place was excellent from the staff to the bedding. The location is excellent for being able to walk to nearby restaurants and relatively walkable to a lot of the major tourist spots. I will definitely stay again..with a larger group though if I get the apartment again! 😁

Strongly recommend it

The hotel was very clean, easy to find it. The location is great. The staff was so frienfly and helpful. And what was a surprice when the young lady said to us her Mum is works also there and she is Bulgarian like us. So, she helped us very much with guidance, book the attraction bus, the trains and so on. Next to the hotel there are so many delicious bakery and restaurants. I love our viewing from the balcony, exactly the same as in the hotel's website.

This hotel was very clean and it had a lovely room that went out to a courtyard. We were very pleased with it until our toilet broke. The toilet seat slid off and we were left without any way to use the toilet unless we squatted. I was traveling with my 83-year-old Mother, and that was not a possibility. When it went down and to explained to the woman, he was a young girl working in the front desk. If there was any other solution or a restroom we could use in the whole hotel. She said all the rooms were booked, and there was no other bathroom in the whole hotel. When I kept giving her any solutions, whatever she just kept telling me it was not possible.

It was difficult to sleep as you could hear each toilet flush, each person walking around, and each door closing. We ended up turning on a white noise machine and that blocked some of it out but we had a hard time even with that. That said, the location is very good and the staff was very friendly!

Super stay in Barcelona.

Small Hostal in lovely area of Barcelona. Room small and basic but comfy bed and clean. Super view from the balcony. Maid service daily if required. No tea or coffee in room but chilled water and coffee available in small communal area. Didn’t use sun terrace - was surprised this had a daily charge of 5E per person - I hadn’t read this in any info prior to booking. Loads of lovely restaurants, cafes l, bakeries and supermarkets within metres and a short walk to a few metro stations to give good access to most parts of the city including the airport (direct train to/from Passeig de Gràcia, a 10min walk from the Hostal).
