"I had booked this hotel thinking it was standard, but it was Japanese style: tatami floor, floor mattress, and no private bathroom (shower). The room did have a toilet, sink, closets, tv, electrical kettle, etc… yet despite not having my own shower was not a big deal. They offer bathhouse: very clean, spacious, with multiple pools (hot water) cold tub, sauna and even an outdoors onsen! Overlooking the river! Fall asleep sleep to a running river, and waking up to it was so soothing. The staff was...

"Excellent Glamping Experience with Delicious BBQ!
My wife and I recently stayed at Forest Glamping Kanade no Mori Resorts, and we had a wonderful time. We were a bit concerned about the weather forecast as rain was predicted, but luckily, it cleared up on the day of our stay and we enjoyed perfect conditions.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the BBQ dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, making for a memorable dining experience under the stars. The glamping tents were...

"The experience was absolutely great. Food, room and service -- No better words to describe except for the fact that one should experience Komeya on his or her own. I highly recommend this hotel."

"This is a great resort if you have a car. We stayed for 5 nights and loved that it was a large unit; 1 bedroom with western style beds and 1 tatami room with futon. They also put a crib for our baby in the Tatami room which we appreciated. There’s a living room, dining room, full kitchen & a soaking tub in apartment. Absolutely beautiful sunrise views! And the Onsen is soo clean, large and relaxing! It was nice having sauna, cold plunge, indoor hot bath and outdoor hot bath too! They also had a very cute kids playroom that you could book for an hour per day. They have indoor pool and Jacuzzi too but our family didn’t try it. We also loved the dinner buffet, lots of choices; same for breakfast-lots of choices. Everything felt clean. Employees were all nice and most spoke English."
"Staffs were very nice and helpful. Excellent and beautiful place to stay at! Food was excellent and their onsen was amazing! We loved it very much and will for sure come back again!"
"I was a bit worried leading up to the trip about how to get there but they had some pretty good instructions on their website. They have a free shuttle that comes to the Shuzenji station about every hour or 2 (timetable is on their site) so all you need to worry about it getting to Shuzenji station which you can figure out using Google Maps. Once there, their instructions say to exit the station, go out and around the 7 eleven, and all the way down to the 8th bus stop. You’ll know you’re at the right spot because the sign will literally say the bus stop is for this hotel. It’s a coach bus so you’ll be able to fit any large or small luggage in the undercarriage.
Check in was quick and easy. We got to our room which was not too far by walk but they have a shuttle going around between the Marriott and guest house every 20-40 minutes.
This is basically out in the wilderness so expect some bugs and flys, etc. With that said, our room was very clean and really could not find any bugs inside the room for the 2 nights we stayed.
The private onsen was amazing and relaxing and we could actually see the top of Mt. Fuji from our room in November when it’s cooler so less clouds.
Limited in the things you can do there but we came to relax.
Food was just okay, kaiseki dinner is a traditional Japanese tasting menu essentially but wasn’t for us personally. Breakfast buffet is what you expect.
Overall, pricey but relaxing stay. Would recommend for those looking for private onsen."
