Beautiful hotel with classic decor and amazing volcanic views from the rooftop where you can have breakfast. The turn -down service for the beds was A-1. The staff including the restaurant servers are very kind and makes every effort to speak English. I would recommend.

My Guatemala adventure began at the Las Cruces hotel, and it was on my birthday, so it was extra special! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and yummy. They were so dedicated to bringing us breakfast to our room. The room was very clean, and the decor made us feel like we were in an ancestry gallery. The parking lot is a short three square walk, but it’s very easy to get there, and I felt very safe walking between the hotel and parking lot at any time. I wanted to thank the staff for their attention and the wine they brought to celebrate my birthday. I’ll definitely recommend it 100%, and it will be my first choice when I return to Antigua.

The Las Cruces seems to be one of a number of hotels in Antigua that present blank walls and heavy wooden doors to the street, but open to magical colonial courtyards inside. We only glanced into a couple of the others, but the Las Cruces was a magical place. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated; the hotel's common spaces are museum-quality and incredibly welcoming at the same time. The staff is nothing short of terrific: charming and responsive. We took a one-night break in the middle of our stay to hike up Acatenango, and they stored our luggage and had the new room ready when we returned before noon on the second day. The sumptuous breakfast is served in its own little courtyard under the walls of a ruined monastery. Just one recommendation: try to get a room that is not on the side of the hotel that abuts the main street (the affected rooms seem to be 1, 5 and 7). The vibrations from passing traffic are surprisingly disruptive, particularly in the morning.
