Guy Harvey Resort on St Augustine Beach

"The staff here is top notch, very professional and knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly. The accommodations are functional, but the entire residential area of the hotel needs to be renovated. The lobby, restaurant, meeting rooms, pool area, and gift area are all up to date, clean and modern in appearance. The rooms are another story. Dreary paint, and low ceilings. Yes, they are clean, lots of towels and face cloths brought daily. The bed is comfortable, and the balcony area is a nice extra(paid for of course). Who ever designed the bathroom needs another line of work. While the bowl sink is nice, it is not functional in a bathroom the size of a closet. Water drips all over the tiny border around the sink when you put soap in its dish. Petty perhaps, but it was a PIA. No places to put a toiletry bag or cosmetic bag when getting ready. Refrigerator and microwave worked great as did the air conditioner.Thankful for that. And weirdly our trash was picked up, and new towels delivered, but the bed wasn’t made. No biggie, just felt like I was home. lol. Free parking and direct beach access, so that was awesome. Pool and surrounding area kept very clean and neat! Just a few upgrades and this place would knock your socks off!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Fiesta Ocean! It’s the perfect place to relax by the beach while also being close enough to explore beautiful and historic St. Augustine. The property is not new, but it is very well maintained, peaceful, and quiet. Parking and a good breakfast are included, and breakfast is delivered at the time you request. The beach access is absolutely unbeatable! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to enjoy the ocean, relax, and have a peaceful vacation. We would definitely stay here again!"

"It was very close to the beach which was great, and convenient, staff were super helpful if we ever had any issues. Unfortunately, our bed was stained so we slept with a blanket overtop of it, the hotel towels were also stained before we even used them(staff switched them out right away), and our shower wouldn’t drain properly but it wasn’t too much of an issue."

"We traveled here as a couple and the feelings were split. The property location can't be beat. The front exterior does need a refresh and help with curb appeal, especially near the pool. Also, please mark the office location better. Every guest parked near our room and asked for directions lol. The view off the deck is gorgeous and it is conveniently located to everything downtown. Overall the room interior is fairly standard and reasonably clean. The bed was nice and comfy. A microwave would've been nice. The ac worked well but was loud. The exterior lights were noticeable in the room at night, especially because our room had one above our deck. The older gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the lady was gruff and abrupt at each interaction. Breakfast was not good on our days. Maybe it's better other times. The waffle was hard and the casserole rubbery. The social hour was great though. Snacks were good and plentiful! We look forward to possibly revisiting down the road when more renovations are completed."
