"Did I mention clean! This is one of the cleanest hotels, maybe the cleanest hotel in which I have ever stayed. Great location. Less than 1/2 mile from the BART. We're walkers, and it was in walking distance to Chinatown, Alcatraz ferry and Oracle baseball park. Great central location. We took a Lyft to Golden Gate Bridge for less than $20. Great little perks, like popcorn on the week days, mints, apples, cookies, water bottle refill. Very clean unique older hotel. Loved the architecture."

"Great historic hotel in an ideal location for exploring the city or if you're on business. It's a short walk from Union Square. You can also walk to any part of town from there, or hop on a lime scooter/bike so it's super convenient like that. Something to be aware of: it's in the tenderloin district where there's a concentration of homeless people. That said, it never felt unsafe."
