"Very clean and the location was perfect!"

"I was a bit apprehensive about the hotel after reading some of the recent negative reviews. When we got to the hotel on Sunday evening around 5:30, our room wasn’t ready and to say I was angry was an understatement. There were other people waiting for their room as well. I asked how long it would be and she said 15-20 mins so we got our luggage and small kids out of the car and started waiting. After 30 mins, I went up and asked for a status update and voila - our room was ready. I was SO confused since I was standing right there and the front desk woman didn’t say anything. On our way out of the lobby, I noticed the people that were there before us were still waiting as well so I told them to go check on it, since that is what I had to do. It was so unprofessional. To our surprise, the room was actually great and had a nice view. We reserved a suite with the bedroom and it was the perfect size for our family of 4. Breakfast was good - but extremely crowded (not the hotels fault). The staff were all very kind, smiled and refreshed everything super quickly. The pool was small but the kids loved it. The location is perfect - walkable to the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. We also walked back from Millennium Park since it was a straight shot. Overall, other than the disappointing check in experience, our 3 night stay in Chicago was great! "

"Great hotel for the price. Our room was clean, had a comfy bed, and was quite large with a king size bed. There were limited ammenities at the hotel, but good food and coffee was a quick walk away. We really enjoyed the Jazz Showcase (2 blocks) and the neighborhood wine bar (2 blocks)."

"We ended up with the stomach bug while we were on vacation, but the staff was all so responsive and helpful to us - allowing a later check-out time and bringing us bleach wipes. The texting feature was very helpful! "
