"The address of the hotel was wrong on the Hotels.com web site. After an anxious hour or so our host was kind enough to come and get us, we were on foot walking the Via Francigena and the additional 4 miles back would have been a killer. Our host arranged for a cab the next morning so we were back on schedule. Worth the cab expense to keep on schedule. Wonderful evening meal and a great hotel. I would visit it again."

"We had to make a last minute change to this property from one we had in San Gimignano, and we are delighted that it worked out that way. The property is super relaxing and the staff made our stay memorable. The owner/on-site chef made a fabulous 3 course meal for dinner, plus dessert, and breakfast was simply perfect If you do not have a car and anticipate hiring a taxi, I advise that you set up the taxi in advance and the owners will be happy to provide a number for you. "Staff was very friendly and helpful always with a smile. Rooms were very large and comfortable, however bathroom was very tight relative to room size. A light in our room was not working, but it was fixed within a day. Enjoyed lounging in the beautiful common area which looked like it came out of a Restoration Hardware catalog. AC was adequate, but would have liked it a bit cooler. Understandable though because the temperature outside was very hot and we needed to keep our shutters closed during the day. Nice breakfast even with American coffee. All in all a great stay for our family."
