"Lovely country pub with very high standard accommodation well positioned outside Exeter. Food and service excellent- the only shame was that I was there on a Monday evening so quite quiet but would definitely return when in the area"

"Hotel was well situated in the heart of the village, easy to locate with plenty of onsite parking. Next door to a great pub with good food. Room was very clean and tidy with a sea view. Breakfast was really good. Very friendly place, would definitely stay again if in the area. "

"Our stay was very short but comfortable. The room was very nice. Because we had had a long walk after an early start we had no touble sleeping next to the A30, which was quieter than we expected. Breakfast was great and the shower was refreshing and powerful."

Bar and restaurant are both beautifully designed with many references to the building's historic past. The food was excellent also. "
