We cannot fault the service staff food and the location excellent it's just the overall finish needs some renovation to the outside finish,it's a bit tired but all that aside we enjoyed our stay staff were all very polite and helpful great.

Fisherman's Cot is in a stunning setting and could be beautiful. Unfortunately it is in desperate need of an upgrade. Rotting woodwork, flaking and rusting ironwork, power lines hanging across the site, unswept areas and litter spoil an idylic setting. The staff are mainly very helpful and pleasant, but obviously under pressure too. Some staff need training in customer service and attention.

The room was comfortable and clean although the area outside of the accommodation building was very tatty. There seemed to be a shortage of staff which meant slow service at the bar and 15 minutes wait for someone to come and check us in.

De kamers lagen in bijgebouwen t.o.v. de pub/restaurant, dit maakt het direct wat rustiger in de omgeving. De douche was goed. De kamer zelf was ruim en het derde bed was ook een boxspring i.p.v. een bijzetbed of een slaapbank wat wij gewend zijn. Dit is echt prettig voor een verblijf van een week. De ligging naast de rivier is prachtig. Wel verwarrend was dat wij dachten dat het hotel in Tiverton zelf lag en niet in een klein plaatsje (Bickley) ernaast, maar als je met eigen auto gaat is dit geen probleem.

Great riverside location and an excellent restaurant. The room was modern well appointed and clean. However the soundproofing between the room I stayed in was poor - I wonder if my snoring disturbed my neighbours as much as their "nocturnal activies' did me!

Relaxing, enjoyable stay

Lovely clean and comfortable room, we requested a double (as room could also be a twin), and the room was set up without any issues. We ate at the restaurant every night, and the food was wonderful. Due to local road resurfacing, when we booked the restaurant online (as we were sightseeing), we were called by the hotel to advise us of the roadworks, which was appreciated.

We have family living nearby so Fisherman Cot is ideal for us. We have stayed here before and will stay again when we visit the family. Its always clean and comfortable rooms. The food is acceptable and breakfast is lovely.
