Picturesque place by the river. Very quiet and a great place to stay with a family, as the miniature railway for children is just across the road by the bridge. The chalet we stayed in needs a little update and TLC, but was very clean and tidy. Very good large dining area and the choice for both adults and children was good.

Nice room, clean and quiet. Staff in the pub were very pleasant. Food was good, but bar prices are disgracefully high. Over £10 for a standard size glass of dry white wine cannot be justified.
Had a lovely clean room overlooking the river unfortunately had an issue with the heating. This was dealt with by Laura.who relocated us to another room within minutes. Overall the staff were absolutely brilliant nothing was too much trouble and the carvery on Sunday evening and breakfast on Monday morning were 1st class and good value if it wasn't so far from home we would be regular visitors

Night staff great breakfast staff and food not very good only went once out off 3 mornings night food good & staff great
Unfortunately the hole place needs a refurbishment
Great location
We picked this hotel as a stopover on our journey. We chose it as the restaurant looked good.
We got the last room available, it was small but very comfortable.
Dinner that evening was excellent as was the breakfast next morning couldn’t fault a thing.
The parking area always seemed safe.
Tea bags, milk, and towels were generously supplied in the room.
And I enjoyed the seating areas out by the river.
Great location, wonderful friendly staff, comfy beds, plenty of parking and great breakfasts. Only downside was the height of the bathroom ceiling, but we were in the loft space with a great view of the river.
We always stay at the Cot when we’re visiting family. Good food nice rooms lovely setting beside the river.

Really good location and dinner and breakfast. Staff very friendly and doing a great job but Marston's brewery seem to be cutting costs by under staffing more staff needed . Nice rooms with great views but they do need tlc to bring them up to modern standards
Thatched building in a beautiful location by a river, great atmosphere set by very friendly staff team. Good food, and warm service.

I was staying for 1 night as a stop-over on way to Falmouth. The accommodation didn't look great from outside but the rooms were clean with decent space and patio doors onto a small veranda and a shared green space with access to the pub gardens.
The riverside pub was good - nice to sit out and enjoy the evening sun. Food was disappointing - £16 for an underwhelming burger.
I would recommend - especially at this price point and would definitely stay again.
Good size room very clean does need some tlc though. The staff were very helpful and friendly the breakfast lots of choices and very good, same for lunch and evening meal
