"This property was fronted by the river and close to shopping and many restaurants. Fortunately for me, it was also close to the medical clinic. The staff was kind. They lent me a walking stick and returned a borrowed wheelchair for me. When we had to depart earlier in the morning, they accommodated an earlier breakfast. "We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back. "

"The hotel is a 5 stars one. The pool is not wow but make the work. The place is well maintained. One thing shocked to me is that they turn off the AC after 10 am aprox until 4 PM. Not sure if they do that in common areas to save electricity or what.. poor employees that need to work with all that heat."
