"We wanted a hotel with security door & hallway with rooms - when we got there it was motel. The area was old & other motels in the area were lesser - some even shady/questionable? Limited amenities nearby - fast food but nothing recognizable for us from Canada. No family diners or upper middle class restaurant. We were told it is a safe, low crime area but there was questionable evidence of street presence all about the area. Train was nearby and was useful in going to Old Pasadena for a day....

"Very nice stay in a pretty hotel. The parking was a bit weird. We were told many different prices, but self parking is $17 per night in a garage not owned by the hotel. Just ask valet for a coupon. "
