"Great location. It's pretty clean overall. I gave a 4-star rating for cleanliness because I did see a small cockroach once in the kitchen area. I think the property needs renovation badly. The furniture looks old. The rooms have stone tiles with poor sound proofing, so you can hear everything above, below and next to you. The noise kept me awake many nights. "

"We are from the Waikiki area but this is the first time I've stayed at the Queen Kap. I get coffee in their lobby all the time when I come to town. I was there with my elderly father to bring him back to the island one last time to relive and revisit his childhood memories. The hotel was a perfect location for us because he grew up in Kaimuki neighborhood. I was able to arrange an electric scooter that allow him to get around the property and the area. "Renovated rooms are nice and seemed very clean, balcony could use some cleaning though. Shower was small but otherwise the bathroom was nice. Kitchen was great to have and bed was comfy. Views are really nice from high up and location is great, plus the price compared to similar hotels is competitive. Would stay again. "
