Anaheim

Be enchanted at two magical theme parks in Disneyland® Resort and watch sporting events in the oldest and most populated city in Orange County.

Enjoy theme parks, sports teams and shopping centers in Anaheim, the oldest and most populated city in Orange County. It is the home of Disneyland® Resort and the largest convention center on the Pacific Coast. The city is also known for its sports stadium and several other landmarks.

German founding families named the city for their new home on the Santa Ana River. It was originally an industrial center for electronics and aircraft parts. Today, you’ll know it best as the home of Disneyland® Resort’s two parks.

Discover 67 acres (27 hectares) of fun at the Disney California Adventure® Park. Stroll through Hollywood Land or along Buena Vista Street to get a sense of California as it was when Walt Disney arrived in 1923. Meander around Paradise Pier, a fascinating replica of coastal boardwalks from the state, such as Santa Monica Pier. Enjoy thrilling roller coaster rides and climb aboard Mickey’s Fun Wheel for a panoramic view of the area.

Make your way to the other park in the complex, Disneyland® Park, which is the only one of its kind built under direct instruction from Walt Disney. It is one of the most visited theme parks in the world. Ride Space Mountain in the Tomorrowland® section. Take the younger kids to Fantasyland® where they can interact with Disney characters, such as Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty.

Attend a sporting event at the Anaheim Convention Center, the largest of its kind on the West Coast. Watch a baseball game at Angel Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Look toward the halo atop the stadium; it lights up when the home team wins. Music concerts are occasionally held at the ballpark; previous performances include The Who and Pink Floyd.

Anaheim is a 15-minute drive from Santa Ana and a 40-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles. It is easily accessible by subway or bus. For additional relaxation, head to the coast and enjoy one of California’s spectacular beaches at Long Beach.
