"We went on a Japan trip for 2 weeks and this was our favorite ryokan, because they made us feel at home. It's in a little town surrounded by snowy mountains, near Shiga Kogen and Snow Monkey Park. "Amazing stay at Shimaya. The owners, as mentioned in other reviews are outstanding. Gave us a ride to the Snow Monkeys and were very helpful.
