We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stilworth House. Couldn’t find fault if we tried. The best breakfast we’ve ever had in a b&b. The room had everything we needed and the hosts Carol and Frank were great, very knowledgeable of the area and nothing was too much trouble. Parking on site and very close to all restaurants and town centre. A gem.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
The property hosts were outstanding, the property was charming, parking was easy and the town was lovely. We would visit again.
Centrally located in a small village. Room was comfortable and clean. Carol the hostess was very welcoming. Excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice. Definitely recommend.
Carol, the owner, was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Lovely little dog. Breakfast was good and flexible. Bed was small but comfy. Room was small with tiny show room, but had all you need. Good electric shower. Fridge in room. Husband was allergic to something in room and thought his hay fever was playing up, but neither of us could smell anything like cleaning fluid or air fresheners, which have set both of us off in some previous places we've stayed. Parking space for all three guests and Carol was kind enough to let us leave car there on departuire day while we visited walled garden and did a little shopping, which was a real boon as it was market day in Helmsley. Helmsley itself is a lovely place and the guesthouse is in a very convenent location. About 45 mins to coast, and lots of places within or close to Helmsley to visit. We ate at Feathers hotel [good, 7/8 out of 10], La Trattoria [good, 6/7 out of 10], and Coopers [very good, 8/9 out of 10]. Loads of eating places. The Cocoa Tree was a nice little cafe with excellent coffee. Everuone was very friendly.
Great location in a lovely village.
The room was very comfortable and having a fridge was very useful.
The breakfast choice and quality was first class and Carol and Frank were lovely hosts.
There was plenty local information on walks and activities available in the breakfast room.
Lovely location in the middle of the village. Our host, Carol, looked after us really well from the fabulous breakfasts to the loan of a rucksack. Will certainly be first choice when we return to Helmsley.
