Good Hotel near JR Station

Great location easy walk from JR Station.Very helpful desk staff even comes with a complementary breakfast and free coffee until 10am.

Close to the Shinyokohama station and there are many place to eat. Convenient stores are so close. Breakfast was really good variety of food. Room was very small, it was hard to open luggages and not many space to store clothes if you are staying for long time. But overall we enjoyed staying there.

Convenient, compact, clean, good value stay

This hotel is a new addition to a chain and the model is efficient, the staff are friendly and the guests enjoying a healthy breakfast around us appeared well satisfied with the buffet. The nightwear & grooming aids available(razor, toothbrush, comb, facial cleanser) within the tariff allow travellers to manage with minimal luggage. The room has a bath and shower & tea making available. There are plenty of convenience stores within a few minutes walk for late night snacks. The location by the Shinkansen (bullet train) station makes this a great choice for travellers.

I only put 4 stars because it was a bit hard to find the right hotel as there were two Toyoko Inns in Shin Yokohama and my reservation said Toyoko Inn Ekimae and we went to the wrong hotel after a very tiring trip to Sapporo. Since it was night time there was no way of knowing ( for us non Nihongo speakers) about the shinkan and honkan branches - as both Toyoko Inn didn't have Shinkansen or honkan. In Narita, our bus driver dropped us on right one. On our own we had to carry our luggage from the Shin Yokohama limousine bus stop to Toyoko Inn ( no Shinkansen or honkan sign to differentiate). We would imagine others getting confused. Bed was hard but we did sleep well so no complaints. Food was ok, though the one in Narita had better options. Only one protein source here, the chicken cooked in some sort of dough. No fish, no sausage or dim sum unlike the other one where we stayed 3 nights and loved it there. Here, staff also was not good in English, my husband used gestures to request for extra pillow at Reception. But staff are all friendly and courteous. We love Shin Yokohama area and hope to come back again some time in autumn.
