"There are a couple of things I would like to address before you book here. My stay was terrible… not only did I feel like I was racially profiled but I was rudely woken up about 3 times in the middle of the night by phone calls and our tv did not work… when we checked in to the hotel where were heading to our hotel room and we were asked to show our key car amongst about three white family. I understand that the security has to ask to check your key which is fine but it becomes excessive to where every time when I went downstairs no one was asked but me and my partner. Another incident happened when all the seats were taken in the lobby keep in mind it was like 90 degrees outside in the city heat and I’ve been walking alot and I needed to charge my phone I asked the bellhop if I could charge my phone in the lobby he told me i could sit and charge it that was fine it’s when another man in a suit came toward my partner and I and was told to stand up because he didn’t want to the owner of the hotel to see that we are sitting on the floor yet again there was also another family (white) sitting on the floor and nothing was told to them it made us uncomfortable. This is also my second stay here there first time we got asked excessively about our key card but we thought it was normal. Now that this is my second stay I see that it’s targeted. I will not be stay here again…"

"There was a drip coming under the bathroom sink that seemed pretty minor but by morning it had soaked all new folded towels on the shelf under the sink and flooded onto the bathroom floor. I went to tell the front desk because there's no phone number to call on the non working phone on the hotel room but the line was 75 people deep due to a national dance competition in town. However, later in the morning we ran into our sweet housekeeper that had seen the issue and she let us know that she contacted the engineer dept. The following day the drip leak was gone. Unfortunately, two days later it was back again. I think maybe you need to really fix the pipe in the bathroom or room #4006. Everything else we experienced was wonderful! We loved this hotel. It was Soo convenient to musicals and restaurants and tourist activities. We will definitely book here again in the future."

"We have been staying at The Empire 1-2 times per year for 15 years to attend the ballet at Lincoln Center. It is a simple walk across the street to the theater, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. We have always been happy with our room, the staff is excellent and gracious. I highly recommend the hotel."

"This was perfect for a quick and easy trip to the Big Apple Times Square. The guy at the counter was friendly and had great suggestions. I would definitely return for another visit. "

"I love their attempt to keep the hotel in a 1920-30s time capsule, however having a mini fridge would be convenient for storing restaurant leftovers, snacks, etc. "

"Really enjoyed my stay here. Hotel was really nice, and bed was super comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Did miss having a coffee machine in the hotel or a breakfast area but Starbucks was right next door so they had daily custom from me. Location was great being just off Times Square so was central to pretty much everything. Check in was easy, staff welcoming and friendly. Check out was great and was able to leave case for a few hours with the bellhops. Even the manager (assuming?) asked if the stay was nice and said they had rooms if I wanted another night - if only my flight could be changed, I would have definitely stayed longer!!! Would definitely stay here again because the rooms were super confortable, staff we all lovely and the location was perfect for everything. "
