"Stayed for one night with family and really enjoyed it. It was also good price for the night with breakfast. The hotel is clean, breakfast was lovely. The grounds are really nice with sitting area/terrace with tables ...lots of green, trees and flowers which are well maintained. The staff were very pleasant. We had a good night sleep ..it was very peaceful and quiet in the hotel. Swimming pool is alright size (could be a bit wider as it got a bit busy but we still enjoyed our swim). Would definitely stay here again."

"Very comfortable bed! A fan was provided which was awesome given the heat wave that was happening! There was an iron/ironing board and the room was spacious. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Had a great supper in the restaurant. Parking on site for a very reasonable price. Great location for exploring plus the area around was very quiet."

"Paying more than £200 for a midweek one night stay, you have certain expectations. The room was nice, the bathroom modern, the staff at check in very pleasant. We arrived during a heatwave. The room was hot (the thermostat said 26 celsius / 80F). We tried adjusting the air conditioning to cool the room, but it didn't do anything. There was a powerful fan that at least moved the air around, but no cooling. The windows were all sealed shut, even though the hotel is in a historic building and they should have been openable. Thus we sweated through the night even sleeping with the fan on and without using the comforter. The room was no cooler in the morning although it had cooled off considerably outside. Additionally the wifi was pretty poor (rhere was an option to buy better) and the coffee was Nescafe sachets. These are the kinds of things I expect in a £60 hotel room, but not in one costing three times as much."

"Rooms are well maintained. However on my stay, Air con willl not provide any heat if you are cold only cool air circulation. Policy is whole building is heated and rooms can not change temperature from room stat. Parking is not part of the hotel charge and is seperate to your bill. £6 parking charge per night. Rear rooms over look carpark at rear of hotel so you may be able to keep an eye on your vehicle from your room. Rooms have additional facilities that make a short buisness stay easy. Small desk area and sockets, TV, Iron, Tea / Coffee Kettle etc... Bathroom is Clean and functional. Would recommend."
