"The shower struggled to give out constant hot water. One minute warm the next cold!! The hotel is in need of much upgrading"

"Not given upgrade. Building work ongoing rooms no storage i/e wardrobe draws breakfast vey poor no hot food just rolls"

"Staff brilliant, room fit for purpose and clean, parking on site limited , ( always been lucky when we stay). Breakfast is absolutely fantastic a must have when staying. Easy walk through park to centre or via road, bus stops up a steep walkway for the able people or round road for others, ( I managed slop with a crutch) ."

"A very well used hotel not as special as I had expected. The air conditioning didn’t work in the room and no windows that open. The windows were not kept clean and hadn’t been for a long time which was very evident in the dining and reception area. The swimming pool was not clean be it the end of day when we went into the pool. There was a considerable amount of hair and fluff floating and the changing area was not kept clean. Floors were wet and clumps of hair in numerous places. Thus I didn’t return to the swimming area. Breakfasts were not good. Eggs were over cooked and bacon too hard to eat. Not enough variety."

"Paid for beach view room had a lovely clean room and a better sea view then I thought we would get, staff were so helpful and friendly will definitely be coming back. Thank you "

"Unfortunately this beautiful hotel is going into disrepair and needs renovations. Breakfast was average. Above all, they need to pay for cleaning as almost every corridor needs cleaning. Room was small but sadly not clean! I rather not to look at the radiator as it was full of cog-webs, spots, .. I love the location and the communal areas and live music. I always come back only for the good atmosphere."

"Pleasant short stay at Hampton by Hilton. Ideal location near beaches and town centre. Room was good size, modern facilities and breakfast is a generous serving. I’ll be going back to stay in August."
