"Lovely. We will definitely be back. The food was really special as was the wine and service. We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. "

Would have been lovely to have breakfast in the terrace room as this a much better room with a scenic view and has the option of eating outside on a warm day ; the current breakfast room has no windows and is somewhat souless in an otherwise beautiful building. Good half hour walk into Sheffield city centre . Taxis into the centre are a very reasonable price - around £7. Thank you for a pleasant stay. "

"Lovely hotel - very cosy and festive over the New Year period. Pretty gardens with a river running at the bottom. Slightly disappointed not to have had a dog bed or any bowls considering the additional dog charge. There was some confusion with the level of service between the restaurant and the hotel which left us waiting for our meal alone in the bar area. However, staff were very friendly. "

We travelled early in the week in low season, so the pub understandably wasn't open on Monday and Tuesday, Also there is very poor sign for mobile phone and data and we were unable to get the wi fi password, which made contact for work a bit difficult.
