Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!

The room was nice and clean. Everyone was nice. The hotel could use some updating though. The bathroom door and walls were peeling and room for breakfast was really small. We couldn’t even eat in there when it was crowded. But the rooms were decent.

The elevator was broken. Had to take stairs from 4th floor for 2 days. Keurig coffee machine broken in room and they couldn’t replace it so they wanted us to change rooms for a working keurig. The room was not cleaned on second day. House keeping was absent. Front desk was not occupied. Horrible ...
