"Nice stay, great host, breakfast excellent, parking excellent, small room but absolutely fine for what we needed. Shortish walk to town and back, bus service available but we just walked. Definitely would stay again."

"Everyone very friendly. I was very lucky to get an upgrade room, but I am sure they are all of the same standards re cleanliness and comfort.
Very good breakfast with choice of what you want cooked to order.

"Gorgeous hotel room right in the heart of Marlborough! We booked the room with the golden bath which was such a treat. The breakfast offering was very generous and the room had everything you could need (it would be helpful to have some bath products by the side of the bath, as the shower gel etc in the shower were attached to the wall which made it tricky). Otherwise 10/10!"

"Staff were good. Poor nights sleep though as the room we had on the upper floor was far too hot and uncomfortable to sleep in ( not sure how people cope in summer as it was 10 degrees outside) . No other rooms available as there was a wedding going on at the hotel .They had already provided a fan in the room ( so they must know about the issue) which we had to use all night as well as keep the Juliette balcony door open. Food in the restaurant was ok but service and staff were very good. Leaving disappointed , especially given the cost of the room. "
"Breakfast was Luke warm / not much bread left for toast as I assumed that most items were consumed by an overnight coach tour party staying overnight with earlyish departure. One staff member on duty probably having to cover for restaurant
In the room which was ok the only problem was when you empty the wash basin the waste water came up the bath plug hole"
"It was a lovely stay with my son and my partner. The room was spacious and clean. The bathrobes and slippers are nice extras. Lovely surroundings/grounds to the hotel.
Staff were overall nice however when we arrived (early before our check in), the lady didn't seem friendly or pleasant at first and welcoming. When i said and acknowledged that we have arrived way early before check in, she changed her tone and was more polite. We wanted to stay a the hotel to relax in the bar before check in but there was no staff at the bar.
However i would definitely stay here again. "
"Would have liked more fresh fruit for breakfast.
Felt misled by website as thought the parking was free which is why we chose this hotel.
Staff were good helping us work out best trip into town and letting us check in earlier"
"My room was on floor 2 towards the back of the hotel. The Gym was on floor 1 at the front of the hotel yet the music from the Gym and work out classes was so loud I couldn’t concentrate on work and had to have the TV on max volume. Then there was the loud banging at the same time, coming from an open door or window. Gym music and loud banging stopped at 10pm.
The room had a glass door to the en-suite, so you had full view of the person sitting on the toilet and everything else private people do in bathrooms. The rainfall shower squirted water everywhere other than straight down. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in the last 10 years.
The carpets had many stains on it, making the room feel dirty if you walked around in bare feet.
Bedside lamps each side were plugged into the only power socket by the bed. So you had to make a choice of light or your electronics.
For the prices they charge you’d expect a much higher standard of room. £118 for one night in a small double room. Plus you have to pay for parking. It was like a continental cheap motorway motel worth maybe £40 per night at best.
I assume you pay this over the top rate due to the Gym and having a Starbucks on site.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Go down the road to the Double Tree by Hilton and not only save yourself £30 or so, but you get a better room. Cleaner, more spacious, sockets everywhere round the room, better spacious desk to work, shower that works. free parking for Blue Badge holders."
