"A fabulous location overlooking the cliffs. The majority of the hotel has been modernised, with a luxuriant feel that includes an excellent bar. There are some stairwells and corridors that are yet to catch up that feel very tired and a little shabby in places, but it looked like work was in hand to sort this out. There is very limited parking to book and a small overflow that gives reasonable rates, but you'd need to arrive early to get a space. We opted for a non-sea view room and it was nicely decorated with a huge, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The staff were superb in all areas, as was the breakfast. "

"Breakfast was a highlight. Unfortunate there was still substantial construction. Sunday menus disappointing . Staff excellent who resolved a hiccup quickly and courteosly. Rooms comfortable. "

"The room was very clean apart from dusty shelf's in wardrobe discovered that when putting clothes on shelf after taking out to use.staff excellent,food excellent. We have been staying at this hotel on and off for 24 years and will certainly be going back.parking was good and the sun was shining too. "

"Room was comfortable but a little cramped for two people . Tea /coffee making was available but didn’t use , shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Clean and soft towels.Breakfast was excellent and Tamsin the host was very friendly. We’ve been before and will definitely go again. Just a 10 minute stroll to the front with shops and bars . "

"The car park was good and the bar was with a lot of choice of whatever you fancied to drink Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location was perfect, easy access to local bus service. The hotel was very clean . Fires were lit to add to the lovely feeling of comfort "

"The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the fact that the cafe attached was both delicious and had outdoor seating was absolutely incredible… The only downside to our stay is that there was a huge youth field trip. The kids were probably about 10-13 years old and were terribly loud, running up and down the stairs, screaming and yelling in the hallways and the teachers didn’t do anything about it. They let them basically do whatever they wanted like they had no control over them. It was awful. The morning we were checking out, so were they. The kids were blocking every exit, every hallway, every set of stairs and we had to make our way downstairs to the reception area. When we finally made it down, more kids were blocking the only 2 exits to reception. There was a kid crying and throwing a fit right in front of one of the doors and the other door was being blocked by 15 other kids. One of the teachers looked at me and asked if I was trying to get to reception and I said yes. She replied “well you can use the other door” the door she was referring to was the door being blocked by the child throwing a fit. I just looked at her in shock. How was I supposed to exit, because as a mom and a teacher, I find it very inappropriate to talk to a child on a field with their school. Those teachers had absolutely zero control over those children. If you would like to stay here, it is absolutely beautiful but I strongly suggest you call and ask if there is a field trip."

"Beautiful cottage - clean and very well kitted out and decorated. Amenities were a good standard. Towels and bedding bathrooms all lovely. Would definately stay again ! The welcome basket was really appreciated and a really nice touch. Thankyou ! "
